Please tell me I am not alone in this sentiment....
Gaining pregnancy weight is hard on the psyche! I know it is for a good cause, but I am having a really hard time with it. The picture above shows the main symptom - hand to mouth! I try not to snack, I eat healthful meals (just ask Tarrah - we're kind of nutty) and I exercise for an hour, six days a week. Yet, my body just packs it on. I am really hoping to look like this Tarah
but I wonder sometimes!
So.... any advice on how to stay nice and trim during pregnancy so I don't have as far to go after I have this baby? My body hates me post- pregnancy, so I am hoping to counter-act some of the hate by keeping my actual pregnancy weight gain in a happy, healthy place.
And if you're pregnant - tell me when you're due and include a link to your blog. I'd love to follow along!

You look so cute pregnant!!!! But then I'm sure you don't weigh over 200 lbs either. lol Anyway, I think it's great that you exercise for an hour everyday. Hmm...I don't have any real advice, except keep doing what u'r doing b/c it's working!!! U look great!
Thanks for the compliment but I think I need to clear a few things up for you.
1. You look great!
2. The fact that you are 5 months and have ONLY gained 10 lbs amazes me.
3. I’m jealous that you get to work out an hour a day. When I got off bed rest, I still wasn’t far enough along that I trusted working out yet. Once I got far enough along to work out, I was just too big to do anything but walk. Your way ahead compared to where I was.
4. I am almost 100% sure that you eat way healthier than I do.
5. Last but not definitely NOT least, I’ve gained 42 lbs so far and the pregnancy is not over!
oh my goodness you look absolutely fine! The only thing you have on you is a pregnant belly and nothing else! (meaning of course it doesn't look like you've gained weight anywhere else!) 10 lbs over 5 months is great! You look healthy to me! (I don't tan either! so I can sympathize with you there). And you exercise for an HOUR every day? Ok I need a serious kick in the butt!
You look great. I agree wiht tarah, i can't believe you have ONLY gained 10 pounds.
I definitely have to agree with the above sentiments Andie! You are doing incredible! I hope I get to see you before you have this one:) I can sympathize with how you feel though, since I've been working out I notice when I have gained fat or lost muscle( or both) and it is depressing. But I always just go back and look at an old pic of me and remember what I USED to look like and that usually makes me feel much better:)
I love you and miss you! Always remember you are SO my favourite sister;)
I'm enjoying working on your blog design and seeing your cute kids! I am already enormous by 5 months; I just remind myself that what I gain is what I'll use later to feed the baby. You look great!
Just a li'l FYI:
1. Anything less than 25lbs gained during pregnancy can be detrimental to the baby.
2. If you're craving it, it's probably because the baby needs it for proper development.
3. There are 'windows' in development when the baby needs things it wouldn't normally (thus some of the odder cravings). If you miss the window, you can have big problems.
4. The quickest and easiest way to lose weight after pregnancy is the birth itself (You lose ~7lbs just from the water breaking. Add 8lbs for the baby plus the extra blood, and you've got most of the extra ~30lbs). Beyond that, breastfeeding uses 500+ calories/day.
Hope that helps?
