We went for a walk on base last night. It was quiet, with just the sound of the Mississippi Kite's chattering, along with the soft cooing of the Mourning Dove. Eve skipped on the sidewalk, I held the baby, and Judah rode in the stroller. There was the occasional wave to a friendly resident, the splash of a few sprinklers, some playground play, and a flat stroller tire.
The night was capped off by another beautiful New Mexico sunset - a gorgeous backdrop for the drive home.
Perhaps some might think that a Saturday night spent with small children would be dull.
I strongly disagree. They are delightful.

I used to enjoy baby sitting my nephews(fron SIL.) and my neice and her brother(My sister) as well
Those New Mexico sunsets are envious! Such brilliant color.
I love the picture of you and Eliza. You are building a legacy of memories!
I love this picture of you and Eliza!
I can't believe she's already 5 months old. Seems like just yesterday I was reading your blog about having her. :)
And what a great picture of you and Eliza! We love walking as a family. Outside of playing Monopoly (a new passion), it is our favorite thing to do.
The people who think a Saturday night with children is dull are the same people who think of them as burdens instead of blessings. And they're not. Dull or burdensome.
What a sweet baby! Yes, Sat. nights with little ones can be a ton of fun!
I miss those nights when Kevin was here, and we would put the kids to bed with a huge smile on our face. Happy to have kids, happy to be alive :D
the little ones call them nature walks, even if we are just walking on a path. nothing is better then just taking some time and enjoying your kids.
