Tarrah, with her kids, spent the day at our house and we made bread! Eight loaves of it. I really love making bread, there's something so simple and fulfilling in the mixing and kneading, the shaping and baking of bread. And I love how each loaf turned out differently. They remind me of people - all different shapes, sizes and colors, each one unique.
You should smell my house right now! Amazing.

I LOVE the smell of bread. And even better the taste. I could live on bread and water! :)
I miss using the bread machine to make bread. Yes, it goes against the whole 'make it yourself' idea, but it's still fun, and it makes the house smell great.

We have a local bread factory near our house & I will go outr of my way just to drive by & smell:)
I'm still making the bread...and it taste's great. However, mine doesn't quite rise as nicely as yours...I wondering if I am doing something wrong? I have found that I LOVE making my own bread!!
Madison and I make bread sometimes together....she loves to make it for my mom.
I remember when I was a kid coming home from school and my mom had several loaves of bread and cookies on the counter. We would be able to test some of them before supper! The house smelled so warm and life was so secure and safe. ernie.
