Congratulations Callie-K!
E-mail me so I can hook you up with your Yummie Tummie gift card!
Thanks to everyone for participating; I have been drooling for all of the delicious food you have talked about! I think I've gained weight just reading about it all. I'm going to go gnaw on a carrot now...
-----------------------------
I am totally not ashamed to admit that I have, in the past, used Spanx.
Oh, yes Ma'am.
I was visiting home and wanted to not feel quite so frumpy, dumpy, and pleasantly plumpy; "things" were not as "things" should have been as I was four months post-partum with my lovely Eliza Dove.
Did my Spanx get-up work?
Kind of but it was highly, highly uncomfortable and hard to keep in the correct place on my plump body. Putting it on was embarrassing and I was the only one in the room!
The wearing of the Spanx and subsequently nursing my four month old baby.... holy cow, was that a royal pain in the booty. C'mon Spanx... think of who your target audience includes! Make somethin' for the pleasantly plump nursing mothers, m'kay!
I admit, I did feel fairly vain using it but it didn't stop me. No way, no how. Sometimes we just need a little help, ya know?
When I was contacted to try out a Yummie Tummie product I totally jumped at the chance. Because look!!! They have a perfect top for those in the pleasantly plump and nursing stage! Plus, look how much more effective their plan of attack is. These tops are more pleasant and pleasing to the eye than this little number, which was my Spanx choice this past Spring.
And, they come in colors! And with glitz for the holidays! You know I love the glitz.
I am expecting my Yummie Tummie product to arrive today via UPS. I chose the Strappy Tank in black. I was in a rather practical mood last night. I'll let you know if my Yummie Tummie product is truly as fab as I think it's going to be.
Now, tell me... would you like the chance to win a 100 dollar gift certificate to Yummie Tummie? Of course you would!
I hate jumping through hoops so all I am asking is that you tell me your most favorite holiday food. Ever.
Creative, huh!
I am really hungry so food is pretty much all I can think about right now. Answer that one measly question and you are entered!
If you need some ideas for a new holiday recipe check out the Yummie Tummie website - it has some mouthwatering recipes you can pull from. The Christmas Eggnog looks excellent (found under cocktails in the Indulgences.)

Well, it was either those or the big sloppy ones.

Holiday food is always the best - so many cakes and cookies and pies!
My all time favorite holiday food is my mother's turkey stuffing. It's not fancy. There are no bits of fruit in it or bits of sausage. She doesn't use rice or dice up chestnuts. It is traditional and delicious, and it will always be a taste that says "home" to me.

Hugs & Happy Holidays
I love my Aunt Twila's sugar cookies. Only hers.
But since she's gone to be Jesus, my second favorite is Blotch. It's a Pennsylvania Dutch family recipe--basically a white flour cinnamon sugar coffee cake--and oh so good.
And after eating it, one needs some Spanx or YummieTummie, or as I just purchased at Target, some Assets (isn't THAT a clever name?)
I think my most favourite holiday food would be rabbit paté like my mum makes it. The Christmas I came to spend home from living in the US I was treated to my holiday favourites and THAT was on the menu, plus a tiny one for me to enjoy the next day. Yum Yum Yum!
hmm...my favorite holiday food...gosh if I can only pick one then it has to be my Mom's Fruit Salad....more like an ambrosia salad with minimarshmallows, mandarin oranges, walnuts, pineapple and lots more...I can't wait for Christmas now!
I love Christmas cookies!! My absolute favorite are chocolate cake mix cookies with M&M's in them :) Deeeelicious!
Sugar cutout cookies with frosting and sprinkles! Love them and will not be eating any this year. Darn!
Favorite...there are so many. I would have to say the cookies, but I sure do love Wassail.

Girl, I can totally identify with the out of control post-partum plumpness right about now. Not helping any is my love of homemade cornbread dressing--my all time favorite holiday food. Yum!
My favorite holiday food is Lasagna with a side of meatballs and sausage and hot garlic bread.
I also love Pumpkin pie/Cheery with whipped cream.
LOL I will really need the Ymmmie Tummies!
Thank you!

Tamales!!!!
Yes its Val from ABQ...
Tamales and biscochitos!!!
I have got to have some!!!
NOW!!!
Talk about traditional NM holiday food.
con cariño, Val
Gingerbread and just about anything with pumpkin in it. Yum!
That's a dangerous question...at least for me who loves almost ALL Holiday foods. Hmmm...I'd have to say I like gingerbread alot. Yeah, that's my pick for today. :)
I'm going to have to go with Val in NM. Love those tamales!!! Mmmmhhmm.....They just don't make the same Mexican food here in AZ as they do in NM. Miss it....:)
Cathy
Mmmmm, there's nothing like Honduran Tamales! They are my absolute favorite holiday food.
Hope you are having a great time in New York.
I think it is funny that your asking about our favorite holiday food so we can win a skinny-izer stuff. I love it hehe.
My husband is in love with Panettone and so am I. It is a fabulous Italian bread with fruit. Sweet but not too sweet. When I first discovered it a few years ago I had to get it post holidays on clearance from the fancy food place that charges an arm and a leg but my Trader Joe's supplies our need now for just 6.99 baby! Cheers!
First off, I LOVE me some spanxs. But I'd love to try some Yummy Tummies!
My Fav holiday food is grosted sugar cookies and beef tenderloin. I know, strange combo.
I would have to say cream cheese with jalapeno pepper jelly on top with wheat thins....OR....divinity.
I've seen those... me want! :)
Uggg... I love COOKIES. You know the peanut butter ones with a big Hershey kiss in the middle. Oh and chocolate ones with Andes mints folded into the middle. YUMMMMY!

My favorite, all time most favorite, holiday food - my Granny's apples. Love them. I duplicate them the best I can - but Granny always did it better. Sliced apples, sugar, spices, butter - all baked up. We ate them as part of the meal, we ate them as dessert, we ate them (if there were any left over) as breakfast.
My most Fav holiday food is my Nonnie's homemade cranberry sauce- I'm drooling just thinking about it. I love that it's sweet & tangy at the same time. Yummmmm!
I guess sugar cookies...I really love me some eggnog. Just regular plain store bought eggnog. Yummy!!
my most fav. holiday food is strangely Mashed potatoes. Pour on some gravy and its mm mm good.
I love a good marzipan filled stollen - I love getting them from Trader Joes this time of year!
Wow, a giveaway!! So, I've Spanx myself a time or two and it is one of the most miserable experiences of my life, second only to feeling like a hippo. So I suck it up. But you are right, this thing looks awesome.
I'd say my favorite holiday food? This is so lame but I love Christmas morning pigs in a blanket. Look forward to them EVERY year!
Most favorite holiday food ever...oh my gosh that's hard. I'm going to have to go for...well, I'm going to cheat. I'll tell my favorite Christmas food. Every year we make chocolate biscuits: take canned rolls, wrap each one around a Hersey's kiss, roll in melted butter and then cinnamon sugar, and bake that.
It's gooey and wicked and perfect.
My mom's rolls. They are an old family recipe, simply referred to as "Aunt Mary's Rolls". They are awesome! On Christmas we sometimes make them into cinnamon rolls (though this year I'll be looking for a more decadent recipe to go for!)
Oh, and after two Christmases in a row being in my 2nd or 3rd trimester... I'm gonna need a Yummy Tummy deal...
And I TOTALLY wore control tops over my longline strapless bra. My friend asked me to be her bridesmaid when I was 7 weeks postpartum. That was an adventure. I had to peel off half the dress to feed Oce. Ak! NOT GOOD! I was totally in the hallway at the reception with a big nursing coverup and my dress around my waist! Where else could I go?
Easy! Chocolate covered peanut butter balls that my Memaw makes at Christmas. Not to mention her dressing or dumplings. Lord have mercy! I will need one of these.
Amanda
Easy. Anything and everything chocolate. Thus the need for me to win this giveaway!
when i was a kid, my mom would make "bon bons" every year at christmas. some people call them buckeyes. same thing... peanut butter & chocolate-y goodness in a little ball. they just remind me of christmas... which is why i could use yummietummie. obviously :)
For me it would be my mom's homemade stuffing. It has sausage in it and cranberries and so much other yummy things. It's hearty, healthy and just delicious!
LOVE to eat Tuxedo Fudge, that my grandmother made. I made it once with her, and could not believe the amount of work it took!!
My all time favorite!
Callie
To borrow the words from a famous muppet, "Me love cookies!!!" Thanks for the chance to win!
zeelandchick@sbcglobal.net
Oh that is easy, Blackbottoms which make their occurance every December just in time for Christmas Eve. They are little and shaped like tiny cupcakes but oh so much better- chocolate with cream cheese filling with chocolate chips inside. Oh so yummy!
It is and always will be homemade mashed potatoes. Boring, I know but I just can't help myself.
That's kind of a tough question for a pregnant girl...ALL the holiday food sounds like my favorite right now!
In all seriousness, I love Christmas cookies the best - each of my grandmother has a "specialty" cookie that we only ever have at Christmas. Just smelling them floods my heart with happy memories!
um, hands down, green bean casserole. i could demolish and entire casserole dish of it myself...not that i ever have... :)
Well, being Italian and all, there are lots of food I could choose to write about, but my all time favorite thing to eat at Christmas is a cannoli! We never eat them during the year, so it's a special occasion!
Have a super time and Merry Christmas!
(((Air hugs)))

The thing I look forward to most at the holidays is my grandma's almond roll. We've had this delightful bread for breakfast for as long as I can remember. My mom made it for us, and now I make it for my family. Can't wait for Christmas!
Thanks for the great giveaway!
my granny's peanut brittle... I appreciate it more now because one year I helped her make it - and she makes A LOT!
Good heavens, the Spanx get-up looked awful... just had to say that. The other brand is much more delightful!
I would have to say monster cookies. I think it has a lot to do with the memories of making them every year with my grandmother.
Pecan rolls on Christmas morning
Ok, so if I'm not the winner of your giveaway I'm totally buying a few of these anyway with my Christmas money. They look fab-u-lous! Especially for a nursing Mom who just had her baby 8 weeks ago. "Things" aren't exactly where "things" should be around here either these days...
Not sure if this is my favorite, but all I can think of lately is Rye dip. No one has ever hear of Rye dip in New Jersey. Is that an upstate NY thing or what? Not even Wegmans carried it pre-made here! I'm so desperate for it now that I just might have to google a recipe and make it myself! *horrors*
I have two - both are a lot of work and I can't have either right now (I'm a celiac - so I have to work out non-AP flour recipes for them). And I'll do you one better - I'll even link the recipes!
Pierogi (http://gen-here-cooks.livejournal.com/2744.html#cutid1) or Anytime Spice Cookies (http://gen-here-cooks.livejournal.com/15954.html#cutid1). Pierogi for the tradition, the spice cookies because they're so dang tasty!
my favorite holiday food is fudge, not just any fudge though, it has to be made using the recipe my great grandma always used. we've had it ever year at christmas that i can remember. perfectly rich and chocolately, and no nuts, which is a requirement of mine in dealing with any fudge. i dunno, the recipe just makes me feel closer to my family, knowing that so many generations have used it, and that we all will have it every year at the same time whether we are together or not. sigh.
now i want some...
It's going to make me homesick to reminisce...my favorite holiday food was my great-grandmother's apricot cookies. The consistency was almost bread like with an apricot filling. She passed away some years ago and my aunt Jo (who is a fantastic cook - her shrimp and asparagus risotto is to die for) has tried every year to recreate the recipe. We'd do a taste test every Christmas Eve. She got it just about perfect a couple of years ago.
My mom's home-made butter toffee makes me so happy!!!
Oh yay! I soooo need that thing :)
I love Buckeyes (you know those cookies that are peanut butter mixture shaped into balls and dipped in chocolate?? oh my.)
And egg nog - it starts feeling like the Holidays to me as soon as it shows up in the stores!
Oh lawsy, I'm rather "lumpy" these days and the 2 week postpartum flabbage could certainly use some help. I NEED THIS!! ha!
And the reason I need it is because my favorite holiday food is a ham from the Honey Baked Ham store. Ironic isn't it? Pork-ee loves to eat the pork!
I've never participated in a blog give-away before, so this is a first. Holiday food is always the best, but I think it's best because we get to share our favorite food, with our favorite people. Personally, this time of year I love everything about the turkey. I love the smell of it cooking in the oven, the golden color, the melt in your mouth taste, the perfect gravy it makes, and the amazing soup made with the remains. Turkeys have so much potential! I mustn't forget to mention candy-cane tea...oh and hot apple cider, with a touch of cinnamon. Mmmm we are so blessed!
Merry Christmas Everyone:)
Sweet giveaway. My all-time favorite holiday foods are tamales and bunuelos.
Shortbread Caramel Squares.
'nuf said.
My favorite holiday food is the butterscotch pie my grandma makes!
My mom's apple pie!
It's the one time I absolutely gorge myself on olives and feel no shame!
My Grandmother is German and so my dad grew up eating lebkuchen (german gingerbread) around Christmas. She has made it a tradition to send a bag of it to my dad now that we don't live nearby and oh I love it! Either glazed or dipped in chocolate, fluffy yummy lebkuchen! I could eat it every day!
mmmm... fudge. and i really love just plain sugar cookies decorated with sprinkles by my children.
My favorite holiday food would have to be my Grandma's Neapolitan cookies, they are very special and near and dear to my heart. I even had her teach me to make them so I can continue the family tradition when she passes on.
A very Merry Christmas to you and your family & God Bless!
Christine
Oh, this product was made for me!! My favorite holiday food is a sweet potato cassarole with crushed pinapple and walnuts inside and marshmellows on top!! Yum, I can't wait!!
I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas!!
Wow! There are a lot of comments on this one. I'm still laughing that you actually wore that, though. :-)
Lots of love and Merry Christmas to you, Andrea!
Please random picker pick me!
I would have to say my favorite holiday food is FRIED TURKEY! I love it and can't eat enough of it.
My absolute favorite holiday food is Pumpkin Pie. And now that I'm with a man that can cook! oh yummy yummy.. it makes me shiver just thinking about it!
Fudge with walnuts. Yummy!
My two favorites are My mother's Potato Latkes served with Applesauce or Sour Cream. And White Chocolate Cranberry Pistacio Cookies. I can't even put into words how good they are.
Happy Holidays!
My favorite holiday food is good ol' turkey and gravy! Oh! And my mom makes celery stuffed with a cream cheese onion soup mix and topped with paprika to die for!
I have to say i love my moms binuelos there like a flour tortilla deep fried until crispy and then sprinkled with Cinnamon sugar. YUM
My most favorite holiday food? Our family has a tradition of making fresh fruit salad for Christmas breakfast, among other things, with lots of tropical fruit in it. That has to be my most favorite holiday food (I LOVE fruit!).
What a great giveaway!
It's so hard to narrow down my favorite holiday goodie. My mom makes so many good ones.
I think it might be her mexican pinwheels though. Sour cream, black olives, green onions and chilis and cheese all mixed together and put in tortillas where they are rolled and cut into bite sized pieces.
Delish!
My favorite holiday food would have to be dressing! YUMMY!
My mom makes yummy sugar cookies that are my favorite. The kind with sour cream in them. With frosting and sprinkles too! Happy Holidays!!
