Sisters, sisters
There were never such devoted sisters
All kinds of weather, we stick together
The same in the rain and sun
Two different faces,
but in tight places
We think and we act as one
The same in the rain and sun
Two different faces,
but in tight places
We think and we act as one
Know that not a thing could come between us
I love being able to say "my daughters" or use the word "sisters" when referring to Eve and Eliza. I have two brothers so I never had the joy of having a sister. And to be entirely truthful, I never wanted one. I liked having my own room, being the only granddaughter and daughter, and not having to share. Pretty selfish, I know. But now how my tune has changed. I wish all the time that I had a sister. I love my friends and I love my mom, but I just know there is something special about having a sister to share life with. I am thrilled that my girls will have this. And I sincerely hope that the four year age difference has no ill effect on the closeness of their relationship. I am looking forward to watching my girls grow up together...... just as long as it's not too quickly.

This is so sweet! And i think the 4 year difference will be fine! Rachel & I were only 18 months apart and we nearly killed each other growing up! =)

What sweetness :)
I totally understand where you are coming from! I have 2 brothers also, I am the "middle" child. On my Mom's side I was the inly granddaughter and on my Dad's I was one of two girls. I lived about 10 minutes from my grandparents, my girl cousin, lived across the country. Plus I had red hair - my Grandma was tickled!
I loved being the only girl, even if I was a little, ok a lot on the tomboy side. I couldn't even conceive of having a girl - and God blessed me with two of them at once!
I envy them sometimes. They have their best friend with them always and that bond they have not only as sisters, but as twins, it amazes me!
How lucky our daughters are to not only be a sister, but to have a sister too.

I love your blog! Your daughters look so cute together. I just wanted to say that my older sisters and I are 4 and 8 years apart and we're very, very close.
Your girls are beautiful! I have three sisters and I loved living with my best friends growing up! Your girls are going to have a blast growing up together! =)
Those pictures are priceless. My sister and I are 7 years apart and we're extremely close. I think some age difference helps the closeness. My brother and I are 2 years and growing up we were at each other all the time. Being farther apart from my sister helped me with just wanting to protect her and keep her safe. Of course now all three of us are close so it all comes out in the wash :)
I have 3 sisters. They are 11, 13 and 15 years older than me and I'm very close to them. Heck, they practically raised me! :)
I have four daughters who are 14,7,5 and almost 7 months. They all love each other very much. I don't think y'all have anything to worry about! :) Just remember, when Eve is 17 and driving, she will have a 13yo sis that thinks she is amazing! But we won't go there because they need to stay little. Yep, very little. :)
what?! you don't love me any more?!? How could you?! haha:) I guess i never thought about how nice it was as a kid to have sam around. its just something i didn't think about cuz he was always there. it would have been a whole different story if it was flipped around. you sure had fun pretending i was your little "sister", i think i'm permanently scarred :)i'm sure those pictures of me that mom took when you dressed me up in tutu's are gonna haunt me forever, haha! :) thats ok I still love you! ;)
Sisters are a wonderful thing! I pray that Jericho will have one to enjoy. Your girls are going to be such good friends! Enjoy watching them grow togther.
I can't believe how big Eliza is getting! What a doll. She's getting chubby cheeks like Jericho, don't you love it!
My sisters and I were never close growing up. Now, we talk all the time and just wish we lived closer!
Such sweet photos! I think Elize is starting to look more like Judah (or is that just me?)
I grew up the oldest of 3 brothers; I always wanted a sister. I finally did get a sister, but I was 16 when she came along...and I lived with my dad. My sister is from my mom and step dad, so I didn't really get to grow up with her. I hope they get to share a wonderful, special bond!
these are great pics,my sisters are a year apart and they would constantly gang up one their older brother.Man I wish my parents could of had one child,a boy that would have even things out.
