It was a simple meal - eggs and sausage - eaten without utensils, I couldn't find a fork anywhere.
Nobody seemed to mind, though. We all were just excited to be home.
Home, what a nice word. We're not quite there yet, it's still a house. Slowly but surely we're getting there.
By the way... Did you sleep last night? 'Cause I didn't and I was just wondering... Was it nice?
I had a screaming child all night long. A sick, out of sorts, where the heck am I, waking up with every clap of thunder, screaming little boy. Oh yes, last night was a real joyride.
Tonight, I am sleeping. For a loooong, looooong time.

Yeah! The first meal! How special indeed.
As for sleep... Ozzie woke up once at 5am but no screaming. I hope tonight is a better night and that 'little boy' feels better.

Brittany
I so hope you sleep better tonight or grab a nap somewhere during the day. Rest up gal.
WE both had sick boys last night...K was very sick with a bug...but it has passed and he seems fine this morning, thank goodness! So, hopefully we will get sleep tonight. I am glad you are HOME, and ate your first meal!
I see Judah is up to the table with everyone else (almost). How is he digging that?

I'm glad you guys are starting to get settled into your new house. That really was a pretty fast transition. It could have been much worse. I hope you get lots of peaceful, relaxing sleep tonight.

Years ago we moved into a house with train tracks a couple of miles away. When we first moved in, the sound of the train would wake our son at night. He finally just got used to it.
Another son got really upset during a move when he was about 3 years old. We had a full month to move from one place to another, and they were about 5 miles apart. My husband left early for work and then went to pick up stuff from the old place on his way home. At one point my so didn't see him for about 3 straight days because of these crazy hours, and he was having a minor nervous breakdown.
Moves are just hard on the kiddos (and the parents) sometimes. Hang in there, honey. This too shall pass. :-)
