With these cookies I ended my illustrious week as the snack provider for Eve's class. And I know what you're all thinking. I missed my calling. I should have pursued cake and cookie decorating as my career. It's alright, I'll admit it... I'm wonderful and talented and oh so clever.
Uh, not so very much. But it's okay because all the children are five years old. They will think I am wonderful and clever and talented even if I am really not. And all that really matters to me is that Eve is happy, and she was.
I was suppose to make Gingerbread men but the molasses I bought had the seal already broken. What in the world!! I couldn't use it and so I had to drop back ten and punt. It all turned out fine in the end. Besides, now I have a little bit of sugar cookie dough tucked away in my freezer for a day when I could really use a treat. And we all have those days, don't we.

What a great mommy you are! The best part about those treats - they were made with love. It's oh so obvious.
I've had so much fun making treats for my children's classes over the years- but the last two years have been a little disappointing for me. Their schools have banned homemade treats due to severe allergies and the resulting liabilities. Of course, I understand, but I miss the days of homemade treats ( : I still make lots of good after school snacks instead. . . but it's not the same ( :
I so love decorating cookies...it seems they had a ball. Your a great mom.
how fun! Don't worry about the decorating thing...they look professional compared to mine. :) My cake and cookie decorating skills are...let's just say...not even preschool level. The great thing about it is, the kids don't care. It's a cookie and they love it!
The cookies look great!! I too made people cookies out of gingerbread man, but I just used white icing. You have inspired me.
By the way, I found your blog as I was browsing around and I found it interesting!!
mmm that picture made me crave cookies soo bad! They look so cute!
HOw many kids are in her class? You are precious, I love that you decorated them. What were the other snacks you made this week?
I am now craving cookies thanks! :)
My frosting skills leave much to be desired. It's so bad I get teased at work when I bring in frosted sugar cookies. So now I just bring in the cookies and the butter cream (separate), leave them in the kitchen and then usually my boss, HE, will go in and frost them with about an inch of frosting on each one!
Ok you're really going to have to stop with the delicious posts now that I'm a Weight Watcher!
What a great mom you are! And I've been wondering, what was the back story on making cupcakes for Eve's class/just her a few posts back?
Now those are about the cutest things I've ever seen. LOVE IT! I wish Jillian's class let us bring in the snacks!
Mucho Kudos to you! In case you were wondering I missed my decorating of cakes and cookies calling too....right. If you care to look I decorated cakes in August for my boys...VERY lame job I did...but my boys are 2 and 4 so they were thrilled nonetheless. :)
Great job and I'm sure they were well loved and eaten! :)
LOL, I think they look nice! I'm not a cake/cookie decorator either...mine always look half digested!
Love the cookies - they're packed with creativity! I think they're adorable :)
Those cookies look like a dream come true to any 5 years old!
Hello, I'm a new reader! I just want to say that I love you hair! The color is just great, very pretty!! :)
